Church is for the children
In Deuteronomy 4:9, God commands his people to teach their children in his ways of love. We believe children learn how to be lovers and worshippers of God not just by being taught by adults, but by watching and building relationships with adults. At Grace Pasadena, we intentionally include our children in the life of our church so that they know this church belongs to them too. Our goal is to encourage and walk alongside parents, guardians, and children as we grow in faith together.
Children’s Church
Each Sunday morning, children are invited to participate in Children’s Church during our worship service.
Parents may check in their child(ren) at the Children’s Check-In Desk located in the lobby before the service begins. Families worship together until the Passing of the Peace. At that time, children are invited to their classrooms, and parents can pick up at the start of Communion.
Our classes use The Biggest Story curriculum, which journeys through the Bible from the garden of Eden to the return of Christ. We have five small group classes divided by age and grade:
- Nursery (0–2)
- 2s & 3s
- PreK/Kindergarten
- 1st & 2nd Grade
- 3rd–5th Grade
Safety at Grace
We take the safety and protection of our children very seriously. We require background checks on all teachers and assistants, and provide training as well. Since the building we meet in is multi-use and open to the public, we ask that parents accompany their children in the hallways and restrooms.
